Semana Santa aka Easter

Easter is a week long celebration here in Mexico. I just arrived a day ago and the festivities have just begun. My first time at a movie theater here in Mexico and I saw a touching movie called The Blind Side with Sandra Bullock. Funny thing, the movie was in English and subtitles in Spanish. Haha at least I didn't have to read the whole movie! A couple friends and I are headed off to hot springs in a few hours for the night, also another thing I have never done here in Mexico. After that adventure I'll be headed to my dads home town to visit with friends and most important my grandmother. Stay tuned for more fun from Mexico... xoxo Danica Sattui

Wonderfull Monday

Monday March 8th 2010

Yesterday was a great day in the Valley/St.Helena. Friends and I went tasting at Pine Ridge and Terra Valentine. After a great wine tasting experience at Pine Ridge my favorite was the Stags Leap District 06 Cabernet Sauvignon. We then made a brief stop at Codwell Gallery in St. Helena before heading up the hill to Terra Valentine. The drive was murky and gray but as soon as we arrived the sun appeared over the trees. We were welcomed with a glass of wine and enjoyed the balcony over looking the valley before being seated in the main tasting room. What a great verity of wines we tasted and my favorite at Terra Valentine was the Russian River Valley 06 Pinot Noir, great smokey color and tangy flavors! After are venture down the windy hill back into St. Helena I then headed to the gym for some me time(Yoga/Marshal arts class)!! Wow do I need to hit the gym more! Hehe After my great hour workout I headed to a friends house for Gossip Girl with my ladies! What a fabulous life the ladies of Gossip Girl lead and I only hope mine is slightly chaotic as theirs! The day ended with a big glass of water to perevent a morning hangover! Hehe and then lots of beauty rest! What a great Monday in the Napa Valley as always!
